The 2013 BMW Charity Pro-Am presented by SYNNEX Corporation will be played May 16-19 at Thornblade Club, Greenville Country Club’s Chanticleer course and The Reserve at Lake Keowee.

The BMW Charity Pro-Am presented by SYNNEX Corporation is the only tournament on the Web.com Tour where amateurs and celebrities are grouped with Web.com Tour professionals in a four-day better-ball competition over three courses. Amateurs, celebrities and pros rotate between three courses on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, with the 16 lowest scoring pro-amateur/pro-celebrity teams advancing to play Sunday’s final round at Thornblade Club.

Celebrities play once at each course on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The Professional winner of the overall 72-hole event will take home $117,000 from the total purse of $650,000. Amateurs and celebrities compete for individual prizes and cash donations to the charity of their choice out of the beneficiaries selected by South Carolina Charities, Inc. You can’t miss it.

  • The 2012 BMW Charity Pro-Am presented by SYNNEX Corporation generated $634,571 for 27 Upstate charities. Since 2001 the tournament has generated and distributed over $9.25 million to more than 150 charities. View a complete list of 2001-2013 Beneficiaries.

  • Web.com Tour history was made in 2004 when two World Golf Hall of Famers – Jack Nicklaus and Gary Player – participated in the BMW Charity Pro-Am presented by SYNNEX Corporation.

  • According to a University of North Florida study, on average, a Web.com Tour event generates $4.55 million for the local economy. That means the tournament has pumped over $45 million into the local economy since 2001. More than $5 million was expected to be generated from the 2012 tournament.

  • Each year more than 2,000 hotel room nights are booked as a direct result of the tournament.

  • More than 1,000 volunteers donate their time and talents to help run the tournament.

  • The BMW Charity Pro-Am presented by SYNNEX Corporation is the only event held in Upstate South Carolina that is broadcast live around the world for four days.

  • A total of 2.9 million people tuned into Golf Channel’s coverage of the 2013 tournament.
