ISO Certification

In 1998, BMW Manufacturing Co. became one of the first automobile manufacturing facilities in the U.S. to attain ISO 14001 certification. Awarded by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), this status is used to distinguish corporations that effectively manage how their activities, products and services impact the environment. It analyzes a facility’s environmental responsibility, customer focus, process approach, continuous improvement and supply chain management from an environmental perspective.

This coveted certification must be renewed every three years, verified though an independent audit. BMW Manufacturing Co. is proud to have maintained its ISO 14001 certification every year since 1998.
