BMW Charity Pro-Am Announces New Ways to Track Celebrities On/Off Course
The BMW Charity Pro-Am presented by SYNNEX Corporation announced today that there will be two new ways for the public to get a better view of the celebrities participating in the 2013 tournament: the Celebrity Tracker at Thornblade Club and Party on the Plaza presented by the Clemson Alumni Association.
The Celebrity Tracker, enabled by Stark EM, will allow spectators to find their favorite celebrities on the course at Thornblade Club. Celebrities will check-in at seven on-course locations at Thornblade, providing spectators with the opportunity to go straight to their favorite celebrity when they arrive at the course. The Celebrity Tracker information will be displayed in the Thornblade Club parking lot. Spectators are encouraged to “like” the Celebrity Tracker Facebook page, www.Facebook.com/BMWCelebrityTracker, for additional updates.
The second opportunity to get a better view of the celebrities will occur off the course at Party on the Plaza presented by the Clemson Alumni Association on Friday, May 17. This free event will be held at the Peace Center’s Graham Plaza, located at the corner of Main Street and Broad Street in downtown Greenville from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. During the Party on the Plaza event, the public can watch live-streaming video of The Celebrity Concert presented by Drive Automotive, a private event on the TD Stage at the Peace Center. Additional details can be found at www.bmwcharitygolf.com.
“We’re excited to be able to host 24 celebrities in Greenville during tournament week, but we realize how challenging it can be for spectators to catch a glimpse of every single star while they’re in town,” said the tournament’s executive director, Darin MacDonald. “Our goal with the Celebrity Tracker at Thornblade Club is to help spectators more easily find the celebrities on the course. Party on the Plaza gives the public another opportunity to see the celebrities. At this event they’ll not only get to watch live-streaming video of The Celebrity Concert, but they might also get the chance to see a few celebrities arrive to the event.”
