BMW Manufacturing Corp. named best dressed business
BMW Manufacturing Corp. has been selected to receive the 1999 Image of the Year Award in the New Business Development category for its new uniforms from the Career Apparel Institute.
The institute is a division of the National Association of Uniform Manufacturers and Distributors and the award is the uniform industry’s highest honor.
A palette of blue, white, black and charcoal make up BMW’s apparel program with a mixture of unisex cotton shirts, dust jackets and turtlenecks with the BMW logo in the upper left corner. The uniforms are designed for functional comfort.
“In today’s business climate, it is very important to establish a strong corporate identity,” said Dr. Nancy J. Sears, CAI’s co-chair. “Frequently, first impressions are lasting impressions. One of the best ways to initially to communicate competency is through clothing. Employees wearing career apparel radiate professionalism.”
Companies in The Image of the Year competition are judged on the basis of image projections, neatness, functionality, use of color, originality, and coordination of garments with accessories.
