Soaring to a total of $12.7 million dollars raised since the tournament began in 2001, 14 Upstate charities benefitting from the BMW Charity Pro-Am presented by SYNNEX Corporation received $631,495 to further support their respective philanthropic missions.
The 2017 charitable beneficiaries include: The Blue Ridge Council Boy Scouts of America, Center for Developmental Services, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Habitat for Humanity of Greenville County, Harvest Hope Food Bank, Mobile Meals of Spartanburg, National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA), Project HOPE Foundation, Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Carolinas, Shriners Hospital for Children-Greenville, SYNNEX Share the Magic, The Blade Jr. Golf Classic, The Furman Advantage, and Upstate Warrior Solution.
To assist the non-profits, the tournament provides risk-free opportunities to earn funds through three programs: ticket sales, volunteering and one-day pro-am team sales.
